£9m turnover window manufacturing / contracting company – a loss making business in the midst of a cash flow crisis following downsizing.  Initially focused on improving margin awareness in terms of both contract pricing and tracking through manufacture – saw Gross Margins up 30% on prior year. 

12 months later brought back on a full-time, hands-on basis to steer the company through extreme cash flow pressures and virtually certain insolvency following the sudden loss of confidence of their principal lender. (£500k in funding withdrawn from the company's invoice discounting facility in less than 6 weeks with the principal owner on the hook for a substantial personal guarantee.) 

Working with the drectors, the ongoing viability of the business was proved to the satisfaction of the investigating accountants appointed by the invoice discounter.  In parallel, steps were taken to put in place alternative (back-up) financing arrangements. 

A new accounting system was sourced and acquired on extremely favourable terms (despite the company's situation) to replace the previous system which crashed and could not be resurrected (including all back-up's) at the height of the company’s troubles.

Subsequently, assisted with the sale of the company's shares to their main trade supplier, in the process realising a substantial sum for the owner.
